Green Echo is proud to be associated with Close the Loop Limited., winner of the United Nations 2006 World Environment Day Award for the “Best Specific Environmental Initiative” in developing, manufacturing and marketing a range of recycled products using eWood – which is a recent episode winner on the ABC’s New Inventors program.

eWood is made from 100% recycled printer cartridge plastic – recovered via programs such as “Cartridges 4 Planet Ark.” It is very similar to hardwood in terms of strength and feel, as well as density and structure, is also UV resistant, weatherproof, tough, non-porous and resistant to bacteria growth and insect attack. In short, eWood is the strongest, most durable recycled plastic material available.

Reinforcing our pledge to bring you “Safe and Sustainable Solutions”, Green Echo is pleased to announce that we were recently appointed as Sales Agents for the Luna Glow range of “Lumenite” photo luminescent products.

Following 9/11, it became mandatory in New York to install “glow in the dark” way finding systems in multi storey buildings, so the emphasis until now has been on US sales for these Australian designed products, which have won awards such as Compliance Magazine’s “Best in Security” and Buildings Magazine’s “Editor’s Choice.”

The range includes the Lumenite Light Sleeve, which easily slips over fluorescent tubes, and emits instant illumination should the lights go out due to power failure. As well, there is a range of safety and exit signs that have been approved to the most exacting international standards, which are now available here through Green Echo.
